All parts produced using HP MJF technology are shot peened and regardless of any additional treatment. The primary purpose of this process isto carefully remove nylon powder residues resulting from printing and to give the component a homogeneous surface finish, with excellent tactile and aesthetic characteristics (touch and feel).

The experience gained in the process has shown that the best results are obtained through the use of glass micro-spheres (Niuo Micro Glass), a solution that has established itself as an operating standard, as it is able to meet the highest quality requirements of customers.

Chemical sanding is an advanced finishing treatment that is compatible with a wide range of polymer materials and is particularly effective on components made using HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology.

Through a controlled action of vaporized chemical agents, the process allows a significant reduction in surface roughness, while improving the aesthetic, mechanical and waterproof characteristics of the piece. The result is a surface of comparable quality to that obtained by injection molding, making the products suitable even for applications with a high functional and visual standard.
